Al Qalb Majrouh ( القلب المجروح) - A Wounded Heart

I created this artwork the day my girlfriend left me.

I didn’t see the breakup coming.

My heart felt like it was bleeding full of sadness, confusion, anger.

I felt rejected, unworthy, abandoned.

But in the middle of all that pain, “Nothing” was there with me.

It held the space, silently, without judgment.

It allowed me to pour my emotions onto the canvas with presence, acceptance, and unconditional love.

This moment reminded when Rumi says

“The cure for pain is in the pain”

So please enjoy your pain.
